I will admit, I am not a big fan of the date April 1. Not just this year (though it seems much heavier than in years’ past), but any year. From my family pouring salt in my coffee, to taking the batteries out of the remote, I seem to always be walking on eggshells during April Fools Day.
Surprisingly enough, the day this year has been rather uneventful in the Harrison household, but that doesn’t mean others weren’t taken to task on some ill-advised jokes.
Take the Ohio State football team for instance. In a virtual meeting on Wednesday, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day gave the floor to strength and conditioning coach Mickey Marotti. From there, things got a little scary.
Watch as Marotti tells those on the meeting that he’s moving on to other opportunities to chase a dream of his. We won’t spoil what that is, but it had to have some hearts in throats of some of the Ohio State players.

If you listen closely, you can hear Day chuckle under his breath as Marotti plays a very cruel April Fools joke.
For me, and probably for some that were the brunt of this joke, the best part of April 1 is that it comes to an end at midnight. But yeah, this was a pretty good one.
