Alabama’s win over Houston — coupled perhaps with an earlier high-visibility win over North Carolina (Nov. 27) — has the Tide perhaps a bit overvalued here. This youthful UA squad got to the free-throw line 32 times in its win Saturday.
With this game being sandwiched between Houston and Gonzaga on the schedule, perhaps the home side looks past a veteran, consistent and defensive Tigers team.
Consider a split bet on the TIGERS (+240), putting a third of a unit on the moneyline and two-thirds against the number. Maybe Memphis doesn’t win, but its payoff here is worth some investment.
