Madden NFL 21 Rookie Ratings: How the Longhorns WR duo fared

The latest player ratings for Madden NFL 21 are out so how did the duo of Collins Johnson and Devin Duvernay fair?

It has become an annual tradition with many sports franchises. When Electronic Arts (EA) and 2KSports release their rating for their upcoming franchises. Three former Texas Longhorns were taken in the 2020 NFL Draft. Now apart of their new teams and attempting to get ready for the upcoming season, we take a look at their ratings from Madden.

So far only quarterbacks and receivers have been released. Devin Duvernay and Collin Johnson get their first look at the ratings. The Longhorns duo finished as the fifth and eighth placed receivers in Texas Longhorns history. They combined for 5,092 yards and 31 touchdowns during their time with the Longhorns.

Devin Duvernay, WR, Baltimore Ravens

The top wide receiver from a season ago found himself in a very good situation. Duvernay will be catching passes from the reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson. Duv will likely see some time as a reserve with an opportunity to earn more snaps as the season progresses.

Johnson was taken much later in the NFL Draft than originally anticipated. He will have to fight his way into the starting lineup with some experienced players ahead of him. With his size and his ability to go above defenders and get the ball, there should be a role for him in the NFL.
