LSU run-rules Samford to take weekend series with Game 2 win

[autotag]Jared Jones[/autotag] is on another level right now. Before striking out in the bottom of the fourth inning, Jones hit four homers in four straight at-bats in LSU’s 12-0 win over Samford in seven innings.

The Tigers picked up where they left off last night against Samford in the bottom of the first inning when [autotag]Dylan Crews[/autotag] and [autotag]Jared Jones[/autotag] both hit a homer to put them up 5-0 after one inning.

In the bottom of the third inning, Jones hit a three-run homer to right-center field and [autotag]Brayden Jobert[/autotag] followed that with a homer of his own to make it 9-0 after three innings.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, [autotag]Tommy White[/autotag] hit another Tommy Tank as he hit a three-run shot to right to give the Tigers a 12-0 lead after four innings.

That homer was the last run scored by either team tonight. [autotag]Nate Ackenhausen[/autotag] came in to pitch the sixth and seventh innings for LSU as the Tigers run-ruled Samford once again.

As announced earlier, LSU will play the final game of the series against the Bulldogs on Sunday at 11 a.m. CT.
