Former Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins had just one year pulling the trigger under center in Columbus, but it was a glorious one. He set several Big Ten and Buckeye single-season passing records, then took his talents to the NFL as the No. 15 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft.
Since then, things haven’t been very rosy, with Haskins showing some promise, but also significant inconsistent play — and perhaps most importantly — and off-the-field drama that resulted in him being released from the Washington Football Team. He’s now in Pittsburgh, and we’ll see where things go from there.
Still, his time at Ohio State was a fun one to watch. Recently, the Big Ten Network caught up with the former Heisman finalist and asked him to rank his four favorite plays of his career. It’s a solid list, but I’m surprised there aren’t more Michigan plays in there — I mean, there were plenty of scoring ones to choose from.

Interestingly enough, three of those plays involve Haskins’ teammates making some pretty remarkable plays in their own right at the end of those heaves, which goes to show you what a team guy he is. And yeah, that pass to Terry McLaurin right in his lap with a Northwestern defender right there was filthy.
Here’s to hoping Haskins figures it all out in the Steel City.
