First-year head coach Steve Sarkisian has a tough decision to make in regards to who will become the starting quarterback for Texas.

In fact, Sarkisian has publicly stated that this is the hardest decision that he’s had to make throughout his coaching career. It’s obviously a good problem to have for Texas, as Casey Thompson and Hudson Card are each capable of leading this team.

Considering Sarkisian’s track record of developing quarterbacks, Longhorn fans will have to trust in his decision. It appears the battle is neck and neck right now, and likely won’t be settled until two weeks before the season opener on Sept. 4.

How will Thompson and Card perform when the pads go on? Will one pull away from the other during fall scrimmages? Only time will tell.
