Latest Heisman odds show a two-man race between Jayden Daniels, Oregon’s Bo Nix

The Heisman race is coming down to the wire with one week left in the regular season.

For a while, it looked like the Heisman Trophy would be Michael Penix Jr.’s to lose.

Penix remains in the mix, but with one week remaining in the regular season, the latest Heisman odds from BetMGM show a two-man race between LSU’s [autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag] and Oregon’s Bo Nix.

Both of them are coming off huge games with Daniels totaling eight touchdowns and Nix accumulating six. Nix remains the slight favorite at +110, but Daniels is creeping up on him at +140. Penix sits at +500 with a massive gap between him and Marvin Harrison Jr. at +3000.

Daniels is currently slightly outpacing Nix statistically, but Nix has the benefit of quarterbacking a team in the College Football Playoff hunt and, with a win on Saturday over Oregon State, will have an extra game to pad his stats.

The Heisman race is coming down to the wire, and it may just be a matter of who flinches first between Daniels and Nix.
