The Lady Vols advance to the Sweet 16 with win versus Toledo.

The fourth-seeded Lady Vols (25-11, 13-3 SEC) defeated No. 12 Toledo (29-5, 16-2 MAC), 94-47, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Monday at Thompson-Boling Arena.

With the victory, the Lady Vols advance to the Sweet 16 for the 35th time in program history.

Tennessee had five players score 10-plus points.

Sara Puckett and Jillian Hollingshead led the Lady Vols with 13 points each.

Rickea Jackson and Jasmine Powell scored 12 points apiece and Jordan Horston finished with 10 points for Tennessee, which extended its advantage to, 50-22, by halftime over the Mid-American Conference Champion Rockets.

Horston totaled eight rebounds and three assists, while Jackson finished with six rebounds and four assists.

Toledo’s Quinesha Lockett had 19 points to lead all scorers.
