Jets activate Bryce Hall, sign Mike White to active roster prior to kickoff vs. Patriots

The Jets activated Bryce Hall and signed Mike White to their active roster prior to playing the Patriots on Monday night.

Bryce Hall will make his NFL debut when the Jets host the Patriots at MetLife Stadium on Monday night.

New York activated Hall to the active roster prior to kickoff against New England. The Virginia product was designated to return to practice on Oct. 21 after he was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list at the beginning of the season as he worked his way back from a gruesome ankle injury suffered in his senior year. Hall also spent time on the COVID-19/reserve list at the beginning of training camp. His activation comes in wake of the Jets releasing Quincy Wilson earlier this week.

New York also signed Mike White to the active roster to serve as Joe Flacco’s backup with Sam Darnold doubtful to suit up after aggravating his previously injured shoulder against the Chiefs last weekend, placed Trevon Wesco on injured reserve and elevated Ross Travis and Tanzel Smart from the practice squad to its active roster.

Wesco injured his ankle in practice last week. Prior to going down, he served as the Jets’ primary fullback and blocking tight end in their first eight games. Travis spent training camp with New York after it claimed him on waivers last December, while Smart signed with Gang Green’s practice squad on Oct. 14. A sixth-round pick of the Rams in 2017, Smart has totaled 20 tackles in 31 career games.
