Jerod Mayo revealed Troy Brown’s new role with Patriots

Here’s what Troy Brown will be doing on the Patriots’ coaching staff in 2024

Troy Brown will have a new role with the New England Patriots.

According to Patriots coach Jerod Mayo, via ESPN’s Mike Reiss, Brown’s new position will be in skill development.

Brown first began his Patriots coaching career in 2020 as the running backs and kick returners coach. He then switched over to working with the wide receivers in 2021.

New England hired Tyler Hughes to coach the wide receivers, as Mayo elected to bring in a new coaching staff. Former Patriots receiver Tiquan Underwood will also help with the receivers position as well.

The moving parts continue for New England, as they look to revamp and retool the Patriots offense.

Wide receiver production has been a glaring issue for the organization over the past couple of seasons, and they’re hopeful the coaching change, along with personnel improvements, can finally fix the problem.
