Okay, Madden fans, it’s almost time for the latest release of the popular EA Sports NFL franchise and we’re starting to see some of the ratings of individual players leak out. We’ve already gotten some information about former Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins being the top-rated rookie ball-carrier, and now we’ve got the rating of former Buckeye cornerback Jeff Okudah as well.
So where is he when it comes to his initial rating? It’s pretty good actually. In fact, Okudah is tied with former Florida cornerback C.J. Henderson for the highest-rated rookie cornerback with an overall 76 rating.
Okudah was selected as the No. 3 overall pick by the Detroit Lions and is expected to be plugged right into the lineup as an impact rookie, and the rating shows that.

It’s just one more former Ohio State player that Madden loves, but we’re still waiting on the much-anticipated rating of former defensive end Chase Young. There’s almost no doubt that he’ll be the highest of all former OSU rookies, and could be the highest-rated rookie of all. When that becomes available, we’ll let you know.
