JC Latham comments on Kadyn Proctor’s return to Alabama

JC Latham responds to the Kadyn Proctor saga

Just a couple of months ago Kadyn Proctor was wrapping up his freshman season with Alabama before entering the transfer portal and heading back to his home state and joining the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Proctor’s imminent return to Tuscaloosa to rejoin the Alabama football program has the entire world of college football talking.

On Wednesday, at Alabama’s Pro Day, former Crimson Tide offensive lineman and projected first-round pick in next month’s NFL draft, JC Latham, offered up his thoughts on the saga surrounding Proctor.

“That’s the standard. We’re the standard. The grass isn’t always greener in other places, so when things happen and you think it might be better somewhere else, you get to find out the hard way that it’s not. It’s Alabama for a reason.”

Latham would also emphasize the improvements that Proctor made during his freshman campaign.

“He was a young pup when he first got in, and then just from summer, fall camp and moving forward, just the ability to adjust on the fly and keep things going. You look at the last game compared to the first game, you’ll see improvement right there.”

Proctor’s addition to the offensive line room in 2024 will be a tremendous help to a group that is still searching for its starting tackles.
