Jarek Broussard announces decision to enter transfer portal

Another elite offensive player for the Buffs is entering the transfer portal

The 2020 Colorado Buffaloes probably don’t make the Alamo Bowl without Jarek Broussard, so this one hurts.

Broussard, the Buffs’ leading rusher from each of the past two seasons, announced his decision to enter the transfer portal on Thursday. He is now the 14th Buff to do so this offseason.

“First of all I want to thank each and every buff fan for unmatched support,” Broussard wrote in a tweet. “My time here in Boulder was amazing and I’ve built some lifelong relationships that will last forever. Through the highs and the lows I would like to thank each and every member on the Colorado athletic staff for their love & support and helping me getting to where I am today. I graduate from Colorado in may and will forever be a proud Alum. With that being said after talking with my family I feel it’s in my best interest to enter the transfer portal.”

The Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year in 2020 will finish his CU career with 1,474 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He now joins Joe Davis and Ashaad Clayton as other Buffs’ tailbacks to recently enter the portal.

Barring any further transfers, the Buffs will rely on Alex Fontenot, Deion Smith, Jayle Stacks and class of 2022 signee Victor Venn to lead the rushing attack next season.
