James Harden: ‘I am the MVP’

James Harden speaks out on the NBA MVP race.

After James Harden’s 44-point night, the former MVP made it clear the basketball world needs to stop and recognize what the Beard is actually doing. On Wednesday night without Harden, the Brooklyn Nets lost to the Jazz 118-88. Not only was it bizarre that the Nets couldn’t crack 100 points like they usually do, but the team shot 36% from the field, struggling to find looks offensively.

Two days later with James Harden back, the team scored 113 points on 44% shooting. The MVP candidate also finished with 8 assists. Steve Nash raved about Harden’s offensive impact after the game stating, “James (Harden) carried us offensively).”

The Beard’s value to this team is starting to become more clear game day by day and now it’s getting to the point where James Harden took it upon himself to clear the air Friday night:

“I am the MVP.”
