UCLA-Arizona series to kick off in hoops

UCLA and Arizona will continue in 2025-2026.

The UCLA Bruins and Arizona Wildcats will no longer be conference opponents. Arizona is moving to the Big 12 Conference and UCLA is off to the Big Ten Conference.

So, the storied UCLA-Arizona showdowns will no longer be a conference matchup, which is disappointing to the fans. But, the two sides are negotiating an agreement to play a series with games in Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, per Jon Rothstein.

UCLA and Arizona are finalizing an agreement to begin a multi-year series next season at Footprint Center in Phoenix, multiple sources told College Hoops Today.

An official announcement is expected soon.

An official date is TBD.

The series will also feature a game in Las Vegas during the 2025-26 season.

The two programs are not scheduled to play in 2026-27, but are then scheduled to resume the series during the 2027-28 season in Los Angeles.

So, don’t worry: UCLA and Arizona will still be playing each other in basketball despite moving conferences.
