Injury Report: Stephen Curry ruled out vs. Sixers with the flu

Stephen Curry has been ruled out against the Philadelphia 76ers with the seasonal flu.

Against the Toronto Raptors, Stephen Curry made his long-awaited return to the court after missing four months due to injury. Just one game later, Curry is back on the injury report.

The two-time Most Valuable Player has been ruled out against the Philadelphia 76ers with the flu.

The Warriors announced Curry has been diagnosed with “the seasonal flu.” In a status update, Golden State confirmed Curry is not dealing with the coronavirus — “he has no specific risk factors for COVID-19.”

Before the Warriors game against the 76ers was underway, Steve Kerr spoke to reporters about Curry’s illness.

Via Anthony Slater of The Athletic:

I was with Steph yesterday at practice and then also in Oakland yesterday afternoon, and he was fine. He woke up this morning feeling sick. His young son was sick for a couple of days. He probably got it from his son. Our doctors checked him out, and it is the basic flu.

Curry will have three days off with his next chance to return to the court being Tuesday when Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers come to San Francisco.
