The last meeting between these two programs is one to forget for Texas fans.
TCU traveled to Austin in 2020 and upset a ranked Texas team in the final minutes. Tom Herman’s squad was rattled with numerous self-inflicted mistakes and fell into the same trap that has haunted the Longhorns over the last decade.
The Horned Frogs have won seven of the last nine matchups. However, this year seems to have a different feeling with Steve Sarkisian leading the pack. Texas appears to be clicking on all cylinders right now and are more importantly playing disciplined football in every phase.
This is a pivotal Big 12 matchup for both programs and will truly determine where each team stands in the conference. TCU is coming off of their first loss of the season against SMU, while Texas is hoping to showcase some consistency after two blowout wins over Rice and Texas Tech.
