Have the Packers finally found their game-breaking WR in Christian Watson?

Christian Watson’s breakout performance against the Dallas Cowboys was a welcome sight for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers

Last Sunday, the Green Bay Packers were in the middle of a comeback against the Dallas Cowboys, where they needed to put up a heap of points to complete an offensively dominant win against their former head coach in Mike McCarthy.

A huge part of the sudden explosion from their plodding passing game came from rookie wide receiver Christian Watson, a second-round pick out of North Dakota State

Finally fully healthy after dealing with multiple injuries throughout the year, Watson broke out Sunday night with four catches for 104 yards, three of those receptions finishing in the end zone. That included a huge 58-yard score to swing the momentum in Green Bay’s favor, and featuring a now-signature backflip celebration.

It was an eye-popping performance, and one that Watson should be able to build upon in the coming weeks as a key deep threat for Aaron Rodgers. You could see his in-game confidence build he made each catch, avoiding the costly drops that plagued him earlier in the year.

Watson will be key moving forward for the Packers, developing a further connection with his future Hall of Fame quarterback, and becoming the consistent deep threat the Packers have been missing all season long following the departure of Davante Adams.
