Giants signing Panthers 2020 draft pick Stantley Thomas-Oliver III

Per NFL insider Aaron Wilson, the Giants are signing former Panthers CB Stantley Thomas-Oliver III.

Of the moves the New York Giants have made on Monday, we have a feeling that this one is going to fly under the radar just a bit. But luckily, we always have time for an old friend.

As first reported by Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the Giants are signing former Carolina Panthers cornerback Stantley Thomas-Oliver III. This sliver of news slipped in below the shadow of Big Blue’s monster deal from this afternoon—a swap that sent Pro Bowl defensive lineman Leonard Williams to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a 2024 second-round pick and 2025 fifth-round pick.

Alas, Thomas-Oliver III has found a new home five weeks after being released by the team that drafted him back in 2020. The Florida International University product was a seventh-round selection of the Panthers, one made with former head coach Matt Rhule leading the charge.

The six-foot, 190-pound defender appeared in 25 games for Carolina between 2020 ad 2022, totaling 17 combined tackles.
