The New York Giants have announced their practice squad protections ahead of a Week 9 game with the Las Vegas Raiders and wide receiver David Sills was among the four.

Sills has bounced around a bit this year, joining the Giants’ 53-man roster at one point before being waived and then re-signed to the practice squad. He’ll likely be a Sunday elevation with Sterling Shepard expected to miss time and other receivers banged up.

In addition to Sills, the Giants also protected linebacker Trent Harris, defensive back Jarren Williams and cornerback Ka’dar Hollman.

Harris was both a protection and an elevation a week ago. He is an elevation candidate in Week 9 as well. Meanwhile, Williams and Hollman are both first-time protections this season.

This is the first week all year that defensive lineman David Moa has not been protected.
