The New York Giants were quite busy on Monday, hosting free agent wide receiver Michael Jefferson for a visit while working out three others.
The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Jefferson was projected to be a middle-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft but went unselected after suffering severe injuries in a car accident.
On April 11, Jefferson was involved in a fatal multi-car wreck in Mobile, Alabama, and spent a week in the hospital after “multiple surgeries.” He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Since recovering, Jefferson has also visited with the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks but has not yet been able to work out.
The 23-year-old tested well at the NFL Combine, clocking in at 4.56 in the 40-yard dash.
In addition to meeting with Jefferson, the Giants also worked out offensive lineman Jordan Roos, and cornerbacks Thomas Graham and Chris Jackson.
Roos is a seven-year NFL veteran with 23 games of experience at guard. He was last with the Tennessee Titans but released on September 14.
Graham is a former sixth-round pick of the Chicago Bears (2021) and Jackson is a former seventh-round pick of the Titans (2020).
