The SEC had already switched to a 10-game, conference-only schedule for the upcoming season as a result of COVID-19, but fans had not yet been informed as to which two additional opponents their teams would be playing.
On Friday the SEC announced the two additional cross-divisional opponents each of its league’s teams will face in 2020.
For Georgia, the Bulldogs finally got a break. The SEC announced that UGA will add a home game vs Mississippi State and a road game against Arkansas out of the West.
Georgia was fortunate. Arkansas and Mississippi State are expected to be two of the conference’s worst teams this year. Plus, Georgia still draws Alabama and Auburn as previously scheduled, so that balances things out a bit.
