Georgia Bulldogs punter Jake Camarda has declared for the 2022 NFL draft. Camarda is one of the top rated punters in the draft.
Despite being on of the draft’s top punters, Camarda could still go undrafted. Only one punter was selected in the 2021 NFL draft.
Camarda played in 53 games throughout his college football career. He finishes his career at Georgia with 187 punts. He averaged 45.8 yards per punt.
Camarda averaged over 46.5 yards per punt in each of his final three seasons with the Bulldogs. Only one of Camarda’s punts was blocked in his four-year career at UGA.
Jake Camarda additionally handled kickoffs in his final two seasons with Georgia. 69.6% of Camarda’s kickoffs went for touchbacks in 2021.
30.5% of Camarda’s punts went for fair catches in his college career. The Norcross, Georgia, native will look to continue his success in the NFL. Camarda has a big leg (career long of 68 yards) and pinned opposing teams inside the 20 on 37.4% of his career punts.
Kirby Smart and Georgia have signed Australian punter Brett Thorson to replace Jake Camarda. Thorson is the the top-ranked punter in the class of 2022.
