Game Day Grades: Wisconsin vs. Tennessee

What grades did Wisconsin earn in their first road victory of the season over Tennessee?

Wisconsin finally was able to get its first road win of the season and they were dominant at times over Tennessee.

The Badgers were able to use a strong first half shooting to allow them to take control of the game. In particular, Wisconsin utilized the last four minutes in the first half to extend their lead to double-digits for good.

Pritzl got it started with a made three to give Wisconsin a 27-17 lead with 4:01 to go in the first half as the Badgers were able to close the first half out by shooting 4-for-6 from the field and went 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

Trice war responsible for seven of Wisconsin’s final 14-points in the first half as he went 4-for-4 from the free throw line and knocked down a three off an assist by Pritzl.

Pritzl was certainly terrific against Tennessee as he was able to find openings for himself and knock down his shots. Pritzl’s 17-points marks the fourth time he has reached double figures this season.

In total Wisconsin received 21 points off the bench as Tyler Wahl was responsible for the other four points.

Wahl was responsible for scoring the final points for Wisconsin in both the first and second half. Wahl did a good job of cutting to the basket on his first made field goal in the first half as Davison was able to find him allowing for Wahl to lay the basketball in before time expired. As usual, Wahl was active throughout the game leading the bench in rebounds with five, registered one assist to one turnover, and one steal.

Micah Potter who played 13 minutes in his Wisconsin debut only played seven minutes against Tennessee as he dealt with foul trouble finishing the game with four. Potter only attempted one shot and registered two rebounds.

Game MVP: Brevin Pritzl

Pritzl was terrific off the bench against Tennessee as his 17-points marked a season high. At times it appeared he couldn’t miss from three against Tennessee as he went 4-for-8 from three and 6-for-10 from the field overall. At one point in the first half, Pritzl was responsible for scoring nine straight points for the Badgers. Pritzl also played well on the defensive side to finishing the game with a team leading three steals and his three rebounds all came off of the defensive glass he also registered one assist.
