Garcia made a name for himself with the San Francisco 49ers, and brought veteran experience and leadership with him to Tampa Bay upon his arrival to the Bucs in 2007 as a 37-year-old gunslinger. He had a Pro Bowl season in 2007, throwing for 13 touchdowns and four interceptions while going 8-5 as a starter. He helped lead the Bucs to the postseason after finishing first in the division, but they lost in the Wild Card Round to the eventual Super Bowl champion New York Giants. The Bucs haven’t been back to the playoffs since. Garcia started 11 games for Tampa Bay in 2008, going 6-5 and throwing for 12 touchdowns and six interceptions.
