Another son of a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, Chris Simms, the former University of Texas star, was with the Buccaneers for four years from 2004-2007, starting 15 games during that time, going 7-8 as a starter and totaling 12 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in games he played. He helped the Bucs get to the playoffs following the 2005 season before they lost to the Washington Redskins in the Wild Card Round. A spleen injury early in the 2006 season coupled with a fractured relationship with then-head coach Jon Gruden ruined any chance Simms had at being the team’s long-term starter. He was released by the Bucs in 2008.
