Four offensive recruits Texas should push for after Maalik Murphy’s commitment

Recruiting momentum is real and Texas must be able to capitalize after landing Maalik Murphy. Here are four prospects Texas should push for.

Connor Robertson – Offensive guard

Connor Robertson has been one of the hottest offensive line names since the New Year. He has received 10 Power Five offers in under a month, including Kansas State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, TCU, and USC. Texas offered the offensive guard on Feb. 1 and has been considered the favorite ever since.

Coming out of Austin Westlake High School, Robertson is fresh off winning a 6A-DI state championship. He plays right tickle but projects as a guy who is going to move inside to a guard position where ever he plays his college ball. He is listed at 6-4 and just under 300 pounds.

Robertson may not be the highest ranked player at the moment, but he will shoot up when the three major websites update their rankings. The Austin Westlake pipeline has been kind to Steve Sarkisian during his short tenure.
