Just four years ago, former Wisconsin running back Corey Clement was playing on the world’s biggest stage and helping the Philadelphia Eagles to their first-ever Super Bowl victory.
He had 100 receiving yards and a touchdown in the contest. And without his play, the Eagles most likely would’ve fallen to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
Well, it’s been tough sailing for the Wisconsin product since that point, playing in 30 games in three years since 2017 and carrying the football only 89 times for 334 yards.
With no spot left for him on the Eagles’ roster, Clement is now trying out with the division rival New York Giants.
Among the veterans trying out for the #Giants today:
– TE Kelvin Benjamin (yes he’s a tight end now)
– RB Corey Clement
– RB Ito Smith— Zack Rosenblatt (@ZackBlatt) May 14, 2021
