The NFL Network has been rolling out its NFL Top 100 for 2020, much like what we’ve seen over the last few seasons. We’re now making it into superstar category, and that definitely fits the bill for former Ohio State and current Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Even though Elliott dropped just a few spots in this year’s ranking, he is still firmly inside the top 25 at No. 24 for 2020. That’s just a short drop from last year’s ranking of No. 18.

You know the story of Elliott at Ohio State. He burst onto the scene during the national championship run at the end of the 2014 season, then became one of the best college running backs in 2015. It all catapulted him to being the first running back taken as a first-round draft pick by the Cowboys in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Since then, Elliott has been a superstar on America’s Team. Twice he has won the NFL’s rushing title and is a featured back and offensive weapon for the Cowboys.

There are some that believe Elliott’s best years are behind him and that he doesn’t look as explosive, but that will only fuel a guy that seems to rise to the occasion when the doubts arrive.

Look for Elliott to continue to show that he’s one of the best running backs in the NFL once football resumes this fall on a television set and streaming device near you.
