The highest selected [autotag]Ohio State football[/autotag] offensive lineman since Orlando Pace went No. 1 overall in 1997 was [autotag]Paris Johnson Jr.[/autotag] this past April.
The monster former Buckeye tackle was selected with the No. 6 pick in the NFL draft by the Arizona Cardinals and was immediately inserted into the starting lineup.
Over the first nine weeks of the season, the Cardinals were without franchise quarterback Kyler Murray, as he recovered from an ACL injury. One of the biggest reasons why Arizona selected Johnson Jr., was to protect the former Heisman winner.
Paris did exactly that this weekend with the Cardinals getting their second win of the season, largely in part of an absolutely dominant performance against the Atlanta Falcons. According to Pro Football Focus, Johnson Jr. faced a pass rush 40 times, allowed zero pressures and graded out an impressive 81.7 passing blocking grade.
