Five-star WR Jalen Brown is reportedly set to visit Texas this spring

Great news for Texas, as Brown is the No. 4 wide receiver in the 2023 class.

When the dead period lifts and recruiting visits resume on college campuses around the country, Texas is expected to be one of the most popular destinations.

New Texas wide receivers coach Brennan Marion has hit the ground running for the 2023 recruiting cycle. Earlier this week, four-star wide receiver Rico Flores put the Longhorns among his top five schools, and now one of the nation’s top wide receivers is expected to visit Texas in the near future.

According to a recent report from Horns247 (subscription required), five-star wide receiver Jalen Brown is set to visit Texas at some point this spring. Brown is rated the No. 4 wide receiver in the nation for the 2023 recruiting class and the No. 7 overall prospect in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports.

The talented pass catcher also runs track for Gulliver Prep High School (Miami, FL) and was a regional champion in the 100-meter dash as a sophomore.

The Longhorns originally extended an offer to Brown in June 2021, and although Texas seemingly fell behind in his recruitment for a few months, Marion has since rejuvenated the relationship.

Miami, Texas A&M, Michigan and Florida State appear to be the primary competition in Brown’s recruitment.
