Which talented freshman wide receivers will bust into the game plan?
Ohio State lost wide receivers Austin Mack, Binjimen Victor and K.J. Hill to the NFL draft. After the #Buckeyes 1st spring practice, Ryan Day said this about Julian Fleming, Jaxson Smith-Njigba, Mookie Cooper and Gee Scott Jr., 4 freshman who could see playing time this season: pic.twitter.com/YQS4KP4XoU

Ohio State has a decent amount of front-line talent coming back at the wide receiver position. Returning guys like Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave will round out a fantastic trio of guys to surround Fields in the passing game. Behind that though, there are snaps to be had.
Wide receivers coach Brian Hartline has shown that talent will find its way on the field in a deep rotation, and he’ll have plenty to choose from with four of the top sixteen receivers already on campus from the 2020 class. At least one or two of the freshman receivers are going to get playing time this fall. Will it be Julian Fleming, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Gee Scott Jr, or Mookie Cooper? Maybe all of them?
We’re going to get a pretty good feel for that as we see each of these guys go against really good competition at the next level. Who is ready to step in immediately, and who needs more seasoning?
