Over the weekend, Michigan State Women’s Basketball point guard Taryn McCutcheon became the All-Time Assists Leader in program history. It was revealed today that McCutcheon, along with her partner in the backcourt Nia Clouden have been named to the All-Big Ten Women’s Basketball Team.

Fourteen Big Ten coaches voted Clouden and McCutcheon to the Second team while the media voted Clouden to the Second team and McCutcheon received an honorable mention.

This is the sophomore Clouden’s second straight year being given All-Big Ten honors and she was also on the All-Freshman Team last year. She led the Spartans in scoring this season with 14.6 points per game.

This is Taryn McCutcheon’s fourth straight year being named to the team. McCutcheon ended the season averaging 10.8 points per game and 3.6 assists.

Head coach Suzy Merchant has now had 45 players given All-Big Ten honors and MSU has had at least two players named to the team each year since she took over the position.
