Five Boston Celtics become trade-eligible today

These players are now available to be dealt if the need arises.

An important day on the NBA calendar has arrived with December 15; many of the players who signed new contracts over the summer at the start of the free agency period are now eligible to be traded with the lifting of the moratorium against it on this date.

That means ball clubs will now have a significantly larger pool of players to choose from when constructing trades both on the sending side of the bargain, and among potential targets. At present, there is little chatter of significance involving the Boston Celtics in any potential trades, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t looking for ways to make their roster better.

Let’s take a look at the five players on the team who are now eligible to be traded and what they are making for cap management purposes, even if it’s looking like most if not all will be with the team come April.
