Analysis: Right now, Dasan McCullough seems to be a defensive back in college, either playing safety or at nickel. 247Sports lists him as an athlete, playing on both sides of the ball. Texas offered the top player from Kentucky back in May and made his top 10 from June 13.
Ohio State seems to be the front runner early, with the Buckeyes heading one state south to snag McCullough. However, if there is one thing Jay Valai has proven, he knows how to recruit blue-chip defensive backs. The Longhorns would pull a major shock with a McCullough commitment.
