Getting Quinn Ewers was hopefully just the first domino of top players coming to Austin. Here are five 2022 recruits Texas should push for.

Kamari Wilson

Position: Safety

Rating: Five-star

Home state: Florida

Analysis: While Kamari Wilson plays on the defensive side of the ball, Texas needs a crown jewel for the defense now. Nobody would be better than the five-star out of IMG Academy in Florida. He showed his interest after Ewers committed.

There have been rumors that Wilson is leaning towards the Longhorns, which would make him the highest-rated defensive player Texas has signed since Caden Sterns and BJ Foster in 2018. It would be another major victory from cornerbacks coach Jay Valai.
