WR Julian Edelman
On the flip side, the Patriots offense hasn’t been good as of late and their top playmaker is Julian Edelman. Tom Brady only found him twice last week… against the Bengals. This week… well, the same as above. The Bills-Patriots meeting is secondary vs. secondary. Tough to trust any playmakers here. In addition, Edelman is banged up.
RB Carlos Hyde
It was a solid day at the office for Carlos Hyde against the Titans last week with 104 rushing yards and a touchdown. Don’t expect that against the No. 1 run defense in the league in Tampa Bay. They allow only 73.3 rushing yards per game and have been the third-best team against opposing running back for fantasy football purposes this season. This one is lining up as Jameis Winston vs. Deshaun Watson.
RB Le’Veon Bell
W’ve got a good ol’ fashioned revenge game this week as the Jets and Le’Veon Bell face the Steelers. But things are just too messy to think Bell will get any sort of revenge. The Steelers are led by their defense and have allowed only six rushing touchdowns this year, tied second-best in the NFL. In addition, the Steelers have something to play for, while the distraction, oriented Jets do not.
QB Jimmy Garoppolo
It’s been a boom-or-bust type of fantasy football year for Jimmy Garoppolo and the better option is probably just go with the cautious move here. In Week 6, the 49ers’ quarterback only had 243 passing yards with an interception against the Rams. This time around he probably won’t do much better, since the first time the Rams didn’t have Jalen Ramsey, either.
