Everything Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said to the media ahead of the Iowa State game

Considering the early week drama, this media availability was interesting to say the least.

With the team already in the middle of a historically bad losing streak, the Texas football program had multiple off-the-field issues ahead of their matchup with Iowa State.

Steve Sarkisian addressed the media on Thursday as he typically does, and several of the questions were centered around what turned out to be a non-incident with wide receiver Josh Moore and Sarkisian. There were also some questions addressing the monkey in the room (sorry).

With all of this in mind, the Longhorns are still scheduled to head to Ames, Iowa on Saturday to take on a very tough Iowa State team. Although the Cyclones have struggled this season, they’re still very capable of handing Texas their fourth consecutive loss.

Texas is in dire need of not just some soul searching, but finding a way to get over the hump of not being able to play a complete game. The Longhorns have had three straight catastrophic second half collapses, and Sarkisian has been trying to figure out a way to stop the bleeding.

The team could be decimated if they suffer a fourth consecutive loss, but Sarkisian seemed positive and in good spirits on Thursday. Here is everything he said to the media about the Iowa State game.
