Joe Namath was the MVP throwing 28 times and completing 17 for 206 yards. Veteran Babe Parilli threw an incompletion. On the Colts’ side, two vets played. Earl Morrall was 6-of-17 for 71 yards with three picks, including the flea-flicker that was supposed to go to a wide-open Jimmy Orr. Johnny Unitas came on to save the game but was unable to do so. He was 11-of-24 for 110 yards with an interception.
