It was a meeting for former Dallas QBs as Craig Morton and Denver met Roger Staubach and the Cowboys. Morton had a poor game, going 4-of-15 for 39 yards with four picks before being replaced by Norris Weese, who was 4-of-10 for 22 yards. Staubach completed 17 of his 25 passes for 183 yards and a TD despite being sacked five times. Danny White was 1-of-2 for five yards. Running back Robert Newhouse got into the act, completing his lone pass for 29 yards.
