ESPN’s Mike Greenberg picks Michigan to beat Ohio State

Mike Greenberg of Get Up on ESPN made a bold prediction that Jim Harbaugh and Michigan will get it done Saturday.

We are starting to get the annual optimism about Michigan’s chances against Ohio State. It seems to be a yearly tradition just like turkey and stuffing this time of year. Many are starting to believe that Michigan is going to finally get it done against Ohio State by the time the game rolls around Thanksgiving weekend.

Here we go again.

Several media members are now zipping up their khakis and starting to make the trendy pick that Jim Harbaugh is finally going to get that Ohio State monkey off his back.

You can count ESPN’s Mike Greenberg among them apparently. When appearing on a segment to preview The Game, the ESPN personality as wheeled in to give his gut feeling on what’s going to happen in Ann Arbor Saturday.

“I just have a feeling,” said Greenberg. “Look at how these two teams are trending. Look at how Jim Harbaugh has this Michigan team playing since halftime in that game against Penn State. I have a feeling that this weekend is the weekend that Jim Harbaugh climbs Mount Columbus. Michigan is going to beat Ohio State in the Big House on Saturday.”

He then turned to Paul Finebaum to continue his prediction.

“And Finebaum, I’ll take it a step further,” said Greenberg. “Harbaugh rewrites his entire narrative if he knocks this Ohio State team out of the Playoff, which he might do — they might actually still make it with a loss to Michigan. But I’m telling you right now, I think he’s got a real good shot to me.”
