ESPN Releases early MBB Top 25, where is Alabama?

The Crimson Tide are poised to have another remarkable season!

Alabama is coming up in the basketball world, and those of us that follow it closely have been awaiting good fortune for a long time!

Just a year ago, Alabama won the SEC championship in both the regular season and the SEC Tournament. En route to a Sweet 16 appearance, the Tide recorded the best season of basketball at the Capstone since at least the early 2000’s.

Nate Oats has the Crimson Tide winning on the court, as well as the recruiting trail. This upcoming season Alabama will see five-star guard JD Davison in the fold, and we can expect him to be a huge difference maker for Alabama.

Davison, along with Jahvon Quinerly and Jaden Shackelford will form a deadly perimeter for the Crimson Tide. This group should lead to a lot of points running Nate Oats’ signature offense. Keon Ellis will be a key piece, as well, on the perimeter following the season-ending injury to Texas Tech transfer Nimari Burnett.

Up front, top-40 recruit Charles Bediako should provide some good play. Otherwise, Furman transfer Noah Gurley and returning play-maker Juwan Gary should be capable options to add depth.

ESPN recently released their early top-25 poll for the upcoming basketball season, and Alabama found its way on the list! The Crimson Tide came in at No. 16 in the poll, and with the momentum they have going into the season, it’s not an overstatement to say that they should be able to continue to build upon their success.

As a loyal Alabama basketball fan, I’m here to tell you that you should be excited, you can invest emotionally into this team, and at the very least they will compete for a second consecutive SEC title.
