Dylan Moses did not have his best season in 2020. After flirting with entering the draft following the 2019 season, he ultimately decided to return for his senior year to improve his draft stock.
Something wasn’t quite right, however, and his play suffered as a result. Well, we now know what that something might be.
According to the former Alabama inside linebacker, he played through most of the 2020 season with a torn meniscus that he suffered in the third game of the season. Michael Casagrande with AL.com — in addition to several others on social media — shared the revealing news.

At one point, people thought Moses would be a top-10 pick. Absolutely no one predicted that he could fall out of the first round, but it looks like that is a strong possibility.
In fact, the former five-star prospect might slide to Day 3, which would be a turn of events similar to fellow Alabama linebacker Mack Wilson. After being considered a potential first-round pick, Wilson fell to the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round (No. 155) of the 2019 NFL draft.
Hopefully that won’t be the case for Moses. He’s obviously got plenty of talent. At 6-foot-3, 235 pounds, he possesses great length, speed and overall athleticism for the position. The coverage ability is there, as is instincts.
At this point, it’s all about Moses getting fully healthy — and confident. Something I’m sure he’s working diligently on as he prepares for next month’s draft.
