Kyle’s pick:
86. DE Khalid Kareem, Notre Dame
Buffalo’s current regime likes to take swings on low-risk, high-reward defensive prospects in the middle rounds of the draft. Thus, Notre Dame pass rusher Khalid Kareem seems like a realistic projection for the Bills at pick No. 86.
A former four-star recruit, Kareem was productive throughout his three years in South Bend, tallying 108 total tackles and 13 sacks. He has solid speed and athleticism for a 6-foot-4 defensive end, and if put in the right situation, he could be impactful straight away. On a Bills’ defense that likes to rotate linemen, Kareem could be a productive rotational pass rusher in his rookie season.

Nick’s pick:
86. RB Eno Benjamin, Arizona State
Buffalo could use another running back heading into 2020. TJ Yeldon seldom cracked the team’s roster while veteran Frank Gore is slated to become a free agent. Plus, his production dipped late in the year.
Devin Singletary had a strong rookie year, but McDermott had some interesting comments at his end of season press conference. He outright said he thinks the NFL is a “two-back league.” That means it’ll be Singletary and someone, perhaps Eno Benjamin?
At 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds, Benjamin isn’t a massive back, but he’s still a bigger complement to Singletary. Pro Football Focus describes him as a “human pinball machine” that can bounce in and out of cuts. He’s also a highly-touted pass catcher and blocker. The Bills will likely have to improve his game between the tackles, but no one thought Singletary would do all that well there last season, and he was electric. The Bills reportedly met with Benjamin at the Senior Bowl as well.
