Do the Boston Celtics need to do more to get better?

Does Boston need to make moves to prevent an offseason of lateral moves — or worse — this offseason?

The Boston Celtics lost their Las Vegas Summer League opener to the Miami Heat 99-88 and introduced recently-signed reserve forward Oshae Brissett. The ball club also elected to sit point guard Dalano Banton after it was revealed that the 6-foot-9 floor general was dealing with a minor injury during their first day in Las Vegas.

Are the Celtics a better team after the Marcus Smart and Grant Williams trades coupled with lesser moves like these and Summer Celtics darling Jordan Walsh? Or do they need to make moves to prevent an offseason of burning assets and breaking relationships to merely make a lateral move — or worse — this offseason?

CLNS Media’s Bobby Manning and Gary Washburn debated those offseason moves, what more Boston can do, and whether or not the Celtics enter next season better than they were a year ago in a recent short we have embedded below.
