College Football Recruiting: Five Takeaways From ESPN 300

Notre Dame landed six players on the updated ESPN 300 list for 2021. What schools are impressing and who is disappointing in ’21 recruiting?

I won’t lie to you. Never do.  When North Carolina hired Mack Brown just over a year ago I laughed.

What 16 or 17 year old kid wants to go play for that guy?  The kids he’s going to be recruiting were all of two years old or so when his Vince Young-led Texas Longhorns knocked off USC in one of the greatest football games ever played.  Why would they want to go play for him?

Turns out that Brown is selling North Carolina at an epic level as 11 different future Tar Heels show up on the ESPN 300 with four of them being ranked in the top 100.

Now can Brown turn that level of recruiting into wins and close the gap between Clemson and the rest of the ACC in a couple years?
