Charles Barkley calls the struggling Sixers the ‘Cleveland Browns of the NBA’

“I think they are the softest, mentally weakest team that had a bunch of talent.”

The Philadelphia 76ers entered the season as one of the favorites to contend for an NBA title in June. With all their star power and experience, those expectations made complete sense.

But the Sixers have been one of the biggest disappointments thus far in the NBA this season. They entered Thursday night’s game against the Bucks on a three-game losing streak and were sixth in the Eastern Conference.

There has been rumors that Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons haven’t been connecting and the team has been feeling the affects of that on the court.

Well, before Thursday’s game former Sixers great Charles Barkley didn’t mince his words when calling Philadelphia soft and the “Cleveland Browns of the NBA.”

Ouch.

Here are his comments:

He said:

“I think they are the softest, mentally weakest team that had a bunch of talent. They are the Cleveland Browns of the NBA. They got a lot of talent, and they talk the talk, and that’s it.”

The Browns, of course, entered the 2019 NFL season with so much hype… and then went 6-10.

You never want to be compared to the Browns.
