Celtics’ Jayson Tatum opens up about his complicated relationship with his dad

Tatum believes the experiences he had with his dad made him a tougher NBA player as a result.

Star Boston Celtics swingman Jayson Tatum had an especially tough relationship with his father, Justin, growing up. His dad’s tough love on the basketball court sometimes crossed the line into being abusive. And while the St. Louis native went through some hard times as a result of that behavior from his father, he also believes the experiences with his dad made him a tougher NBA player.

In a recent interview with the eponymous host of the “In Depth with Graham Bensinger” show, the Celtics star opened up about his complicated relationship with Justin Tatum, and how it has changed over time.
