Michigan State football IOL getting NFL Draft love

A former MSU offensive lineman has his eyes on getting drafted:

Nick Samac has been an integral part of the Michigan State football program over the past five seasons, being a fixture at the center position for Michigan State.

Playing in 49 games over his career, Samac was a steady force for Michigan State, and now is looking to move on to the next level.

Set to go to the NFL scouting combine, Samac got some praise from NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah who said he has a late round grade for Samac.

Michigan State football has had a long history of putting talent into the NFL draft, and while that has dipped slightly the last few years, specifically with the Spartans’ NFL draft streak ending, it looks like MSU will have another player drafted this year.

NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah said that the Spartans’ lone NFL combine invitee, center Nick Samac, has a ‘late draftable grade’ from him.

Former Michigan State football C Brian Allen to be released by LA Rams

Brian Allen will be hitting free agency after six productive seasons with the LA Rams:

Brian Allen was a beloved center during his time with the Michigan State program. Alongside his brothers, Jack and Matt, the Allen family were staples of the MSU offensive line in the Mark Dantonio era.

After his MSU career, Allen was selected in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams. He has spent his whole six year NFL career with the Rams, playing in 50 games, while starting 32, and winning Super Bowl 56 in 2021.

Now, after six seasons, the Rams are releasing the veteran offensive lineman.

Surely, there will be a market for a veteran offensive lineman with the experience Allen has.
