Dueling picks and predictions for Cardinals vs. Rams in Week 17

Both Cards Wire and Rams Wire think the Rams will come away with the season sweep over the Cardinals.

The Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams will play for the second and final time this season on Sunday in each team’s season finale. When they last faced one another in Arizona, the Rams defeated the Cardinals 34-7. Both teams were mostly at full strength.

This time, the Cardinals could be without starting quarterback Kyler Murray and the Rams are expected to play without their two starting cornerbacks.

How will this game play out? It is time for our dueling picks. Rams Wire managing editor Cameron DaSilva and I both make our predictions for the game.

Rams Wire: Rams 30, Cardinals 20

I don’t think it’ll be another blowout, but I do think the Rams will win. They’ve typically bounced back from losses well this season, and assuming they give their starters enough playing time to win the game, they should do exactly that. The pass rush has been relentless as of late, led by Aaron Donald and Fowler. The Rams will come away with a 10-point win, knocking off the Cardinals 30-20.

Cards Wire: Rams 23, Cardinals 20

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Cardinals won with how they are playing, but I don’t think it will happen. I do expect them to be competitive and it will come down to the fourth quarter. The Cardinals will run the ball well and get some pressure on Jared Goff, but the Rams will get the win.

Dueling picks for Cardinals vs. Browns in Week 15

Browns Wire and Cards Wire make their score predictions for the Week 15 battle.

[jwplayer yGcuEl0y-ThvAeFxT]

The Arizona Cardinals take on the Cleveland Browns Sunday afternoon at State Farm Stadium at 2:05 p.m. The Browns are favored by 2.5 points but, of the three games left on the Cardinals’ schedule, this seems the most winnable.

So how will this game play out? The Cardinals have lost six games in a row, while the Browns have won four of their last five.

Browns Wire managing editor Jeff Risdon and I both made predictions for the game.

Here they are. We expect the victor to be the same but how it goes will differ.

Browns Wire: Browns 27, Cardinals 20

If the Browns are focused on offense, they should have a very good game. I can see Kyler Murray and the Cardinals passing game makes some waves but not quite enough of them. Browns win by a touchdown.

Cards Wire: Browns 30, Cardinals 27

As much as I would like to say I think the Cardinals win, I just can’t trust the defense. Cleveland’s offense has too many weapons and the Cardinals have just been bad defensively. However, this should be a high-scoring, competitive game that is fun to watch. The Browns give the Cards their seventh straight loss and beat them 30-27. It comes down to the wire and the Browns get a game-winning drive at the end.

Dueling picks for Cardinals vs. Steelers in Week 14

Steelers Wire and Cards Wire make their picks for the game and predict the final score.

The Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers face one another at State Farm Field Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals have lost five in a row and are coming off their most embarrassing loss of the season. The Steelers are somehow 7-5 and are starting an undrafted rookie nicknamed Duck.

So who will win this game on Sunday?

Steelers Wire managing editor Curt Popejoy and I make our picks for the game. We both expect the same result but having it happen differently.

Here are our picks and predictions:

Steelers Wire: Steelers 21, Cardinals 14

Pittsburgh is in a must-win situation and I think they get it done. Their defense has been so good, I look for another big day.

Cards Wire: Steelers 27, Cardinals 26

I began the week believing the Steelers would win by double digits. The way Kyler Murray and the team appear to have responded, though, makes me believe they will give Pittsburgh trouble. However, Arizona’s defense is just too bad, so Pittsburgh will get a close win, probably on a game-winning field goal.

Dueling picks for Cardinals vs. Rams in Week 13

Cards Wire and Rams Wire give their individual picks and predictions for this Week 13 NFC West showdown.

[jwplayer xr2BPSUF-ThvAeFxT]

The Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams face off this Sunday afternoon at State Farm Stadium. Both teams are seeking their first win in the division. The Rams are hoping to stay above .500 and the Cardinals hope to break three four-game losing streaks — they have lost four in a row on the season, four in a row to the Rams and four in a row at home to the Rams.

However, the Cardinals have had a lead late in the fourth quarter in each of the last two games and gave up the winning score.

Will things be different this week?

Rams Wire managing editor Cameron DaSilva and I give our picks and predictions for the game. Here is how we think things will go down in Glendale.

Rams Wire: Rams 24, Cardinals 21

I think the Rams are going to win this one, though I’m not overly confident in that pick after watching their offense the last three weeks. But I think the defense will do enough to slow down Arizona’s offense, and Goff should be able to avoid costly turnovers enough to keep the Rams in the game. I’ll say they win 24-21, but it’ll be close throughout.

Cards Wire: Cardinals 31, Rams 28

I think the game is close. The Cardinals, though, will take advantage of the extra rest and time to prepare, as well as the short week for the Rams. The Cardinals will continue to score points and will give up points, but this time they get the one stop they need. They pull off the win at home 31-28.

Who will be right? Find out on Sunday!

NFL picks against the spread for Week 13 Thanksgiving games

Thanksgiving is mostly about the underdogs in these football games.

Week 13 of the NFL kicks off with three games on Thanksgiving. As always, the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys will play at home. The nightcap will be an NFC South showdown between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons.

Here are our picks for each of those games, based on the point spread and point totals.

All odds come from BetMGM.

Chicago Bears (-2.5) at Detroit Lions

(AP Photo/Charles Rex Arbogast)

ATS pick: Bears -2.5

Over/under: UNDER 39.5

The Lions have lost four in a row and now will have their third-string quarterback, David Blough, under center, as Jeff Driskel hurt his hamstring on Sunday. That combined with the Bears’ very tough defense will mean an ugly early Thanksgiving game.
